I admit I’ve become a green juice junkie. Our fridge is stuffed with greens and there’s rarely a day that there isn’t a bottle of green juice ready to go. Be warned, green juicing is seriously addictive.
Luckily then it’s also incredibly good for you – drinking a green juice alkalises the body and floods your system with tons of nutrients. Basically anything sweet, alcoholic, greasy makes your blood more acidic. This recipe is helpful in bringing your body to a more alkaline state – better for all round health.
The celery, cucumber and lemon have a particularly good alkalising effect – I swear you can feel the difference. Think cooling, refreshing, lemony gazpacho (without the tomatoes). Its really very good.
Alkalising green juice
Ingredients
- 4 generous handfuls spinach
- 4 stalks celery
- 1 cucumber
- 1 lemon (juice only)
Method
Makes approx. 700ml/ 24 fluid oz (3 glasses)
No recipe. Just put through your juicer and enjoy.
